Ronnie Worley



Ronnie Worley is a native of Gaston County, Cramerton, attended Gaston County Schools, graduated from South Point High School 1983. He’s married to his wife Lynne for almost 33 years and has one adult son Andrew, and daughter in law Emily who reside in Cramerton.  Mr. Worley is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Belmont, N.C.  Mr. Worley is a veteran of the North Carolina Army National Guard 1982-1988, graduate of Gupton Jones College, Atlanta, GA, and North Carolina State University Administrative Officers Management Program.

  • Elected Cramerton Board of Commissioners 

  • Former Two Term Mayor of Cramerton 

  • Elected 2016, 2020 Gaston County Board of Commissioners.

  • Worked on Consolidating Cramerton Water and Sewer with Gastonia Utilities to form Two Rivers Utility.

  • Worked for consolidating Cramerton and McAdenville’s Police and Fire Services for a combined savings for both municipalities.

  • Strong advocate for Education Funding and supporter of $250 million dollar school bonds passed by voters in 2019.

  • Worked successfully to lower County Tax Rate during first term on County Commission.  

  • Successful in balancing last budget without use of fund balance.  First time in 50 years.
